The Instabeat all-in-one swimming monitor tracks heart rate to offer real-time feedback when you’re in the pool, lake or ocean. The device mounts on the straps of any swimming goggles, and uses patent-pending technology to read the heart rate from the temporal artery.
With the emergence of revolutionary technologies built for high endurance and quality performance, professional athletes and sports enthusiasts alike are able to integrate powerful digital devices into their training and workout routines.
I’m thrilled to be invited by Hind to provide a series of blog entries for Instabeat on heart rate monitoring for athletes. I believe the Instabeat innovation will provide improved understanding in the sport and assist to maximize training and performance for swimmers, triathletes and other athletes that use swimming for their cross training.

At this point in my life, I already had several marathons and long distance bike rides under my belt.
